Shade Sail Patio Cover

During our recent patio makeover I had a hard time finding exactly what I wanted for the patio cover. I knew I wanted shade cloth but all of the shade sails that I found were far too small, and the largest I found was 12′ x 18′  which is a pretty large size but wasn’t quite big enough for me. The ability to remove it for fall was also a necessity just to help prevent wear and tear and also because I have SOOO many trees dealing with leaves in the fall would be more work and ruin them quicker.

You could also install wire below the bungees on the hook if you wanted to string lights or anything else across the “ceiling” you have created with the shade cloth.  And to keep it clean and free of debris you just aim your blower up at it and blow it clean!

The best part is the removal….just undo the bungees and fold up for winter.  It took less than 10 minutes to remove it for storage!

The links below are the items that we used for our patio cover.  I hope this idea can help others that have large patios and can’t find other options!  If you create a cover for your patio please share your insights, ideas and helpful hints!  I would love to see what you have come up with!
